You may have noticed a different run log yesterday. I started using Runner+ to track my runs, instead of having to use the super slow Nike+ website.
Another advantage is that I no longer need to use iTunes to sync my runs, which is great. For some reason, iTunes would very slow on my computer, plus I never really liked the fact that it didn’t have a built-in Global Hotkeys solution.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with Runner+. They don’t have as many users as Nike+ does, wwhich in my case is a plus: I’d rather have a faster website, than random people saying “Keep going!” or “You’re almost there”. They also allow you to add comments to your run, download your data, keep a jog log, and see a lot of in-depth information that Nike+ did not show (for example, I know now that I tend to run quite a bit on Thursdays, at 3pm. My theory? I look back and realize I need to catch up.)
The only downside is that so far I haven’t been able to find a widget similar to the one Nike+ had. I might end up cooking something myself, using the XML info from the Nike+ receiver, and maybe using Google docs or something like that. Ah, it feels good to be a geek.
Today was weighting day, and I’m happy to report I’ve lost two pounds. I’m not actively looking for them though, so hopefully I won’t find them again.
Although I felt sick yesterday, I’ve felt pretty good this week. The good thing about having a meal plan is that I can now figure out what might be making me feel bad. In this case, the offending food has been banned and sent packing, so things will start improving.
Bee arr bee. I’ll go for a run.
